Workshops and Talks
🏛️ Talks & Museum-Led Events
- Denbigh Museum regularly hosts talks on local history, highlighting various aspects of the town’s history and its people. The talks are currently on separate Thursday’s, twice a month, one in the afternoon at 2pm and the other in the evening at 7pm. To be informed directly please send your name and email to info@denbighcommunityarchive.org and you will be informed about a week before the talk is to take place. They are also advertised on Facebook
- These talks are free, but donations are welcomed. Facebook
🧠 Heritage Activities & Local Lecture Series
- Beyond the museum itself, Denbigh and the wider community sometimes host heritage talks and guided walks. For example, the Discover Denbigh calendar features free talks and guided tours of historic Denbigh, suitable for local history enthusiasts. Darganfod Dinbych
- The Heritage Lectures are held in March/April and the guided walks are held between May and September on Sunday mornings.
🎨 Workshop Programmes
- Hands-on workshops at Denbigh Museum are being planned. Initially these will be printing workshops related to the Gwasg Gee exhibition.
- As more projects are developed, we will hold workshops and small temporary exhibitions on the lower ground floor.
📍 How to Find Current Schedules
- Museum events and talks are advertised locally via social media (e.g., the museum, community archive and other local Facebook pages) and community websites. Facebook
- Local libraries (like Denbigh Library) often hold booking details for limited-place guided tours and lecture events, especially during heritage weekends.

APPEAL: HELP US FIND THE 1882 NATIONAL EISTEDDFOD CHAIR!
Denbigh Museum is seeking information about the chair intended for the winning poet at the 1882 National Eisteddfod in Denbigh. The chair was withheld as no entry met the adjudicators’ required standard.
Its whereabouts are unknown, but it may still be in Denbighshire. We would love to trace it and arrange to photograph this piece of Welsh heritage.
Do you know anything about the chair or its history?
